The speculations surrounding music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran tying the knot have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Although the two have remained silent on the speculation, Anirudh’s uncle has now hinted that the wedding is on the cards.

The rumours around Anirudh and Kavya’s wedding intensified after Anirudh’s uncle, actor Y Gee Mahendra, reportedly confirmed their marriage recently. Speaking to KPTV, Mahendra spoke about Anirudh, describing him as “a very soft boy” and congratulating him on what he claimed was an upcoming wedding. “I would like to take this moment to congratulate him. He is getting into a very big wedding. Based on what I’ve been told, it’s a sure thing. They are getting married,” he shared.
Mahendra further avoided sharing more details about the wedding date or venue. However, he opened up about Kavya, saying she is “not an ordinary girl.” Calling her capable and hardworking, the actor said, “That girl is not just another ordinary girl. She has the capacity to handle such a big team (SRH). She has inherited her father’s business genes. They’re a good pair. Both of them should get together and indulge in musical business.”
Meanwhile, so far, neither Anirudh Ravichander nor Kavya Maran has officially confirmed or announced any wedding plans.

Anirudh and Kavya have been romantically linked for years now. Back in 2025, a Reddit post had gone viral, alleging that the two had been dating for over a year and that they were planning to get married. The post even alleged that superstar Rajinikanth, who is related to Anirudh, has met Kavya’s father, Kalanithi Maran, to discuss their relationship.
However, Anirudh had earlier dismissed the wedding reports. He took to X and wrote, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys, pls stop spreading rumours.” Although the music singer rubbished the marriage speculation, he did not comment on the rumours about his relationship.
