Watch: Nani debuts new stylish look for next film Bloody Romeo

Actor Nani has offered a fresh glimpse of his upcoming film Bloody Romeo, directed by Sujeeth, giving fans a hint of his character’s new look without revealing the complete transformation. In a promotional video shared on October 10, the actor sports a sharper hairstyle, marking a noticeable shift from his rugged appearance in The Paradise.

The short clip focuses on Nani getting into character, with his haircut taking centre stage before the reveal is cut short. It ends with a neon-coloured food truck and the words, “The kitchen opens soon”, keeping the film’s food-related theme alive while leaving details about the character under wraps.

Announced in February on Nani’s birthday, Bloody Romeo introduced the actor as a character who brings together two seemingly contrasting identities: a chef and a gangster. The initial animated promotional video showed him preparing food with precision before the setting transformed into a gangster den.
The film’s tagline, “He’s No. 1 Chef”, was crossed out and replaced with “He’s No. 1 Gangster”, hinting at the duality at the heart of the character. The latest promotional video moves away from animation to offer a live-action glimpse of Nani, although it stops short of revealing his complete look or providing further details about the story.
The food truck and the reference to a kitchen suggest that the culinary connection remains central to the film’s promotional campaign. However, the makers have yet to share more information about the character or the film’s supporting cast and release plans.
Nani calls Bloody Romeo a stylish action entertainer
Bloody Romeo marks the first collaboration between Nani and Sujeeth, who has previously directed Saaho and They Call Him OG. The actor has described the upcoming project as a departure from The Paradise, particularly in its treatment of violence and action.
While the film features violence, Nani has indicated that it will approach it differently, with a more stylised and theatrical treatment that blends action with humour. “It’s a very theatrical, stylish experience. Sujeeth came up with a twist to that which makes it extremely witty combined with action,” Nani said in a recent interview. “After Paradise, it’s going to be a refreshing watch.”
The actor has recently been associated with action-driven projects, including HIT: The Third Case and The Paradise. With Bloody Romeo, he appears set to explore a different tone, combining stylised action with comedy.
