According to Times Now, the complainant approached the police on August 7. She allegedly told authorities that she had been in a relationship with Sadineni for more than a year. She claimed that the director had promised to marry her and told her that he was going through a divorce after she learnt that he was already married and had children. He also supported her financially and accompanied her to hospital promising that he will take care of her health too.
The woman also claimed that Sadineni had promised to help her career by offering acting opportunities and had spoken about producing a film with her as the lead. She further claimed that he had promised her a house and a fixed amount of money in a bank account. According to her complaint, the relationship later became strained.

The complaint also contains allegations regarding an incident on August 5. The woman reportedly alleged that Sadineni visited her home that evening and assaulted her during an intimate moment, following which she lost consciousness. She claimed that she later experienced swelling and severe pain around her face and eyes. She revealed that he would force her into sexual acts over video calls despite her suffering from panic attacks. Also worries that those videos might have been recorded and circulated.
Following the complaint, Golconda Police registered a case under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, relating to sexual intercourse by deceitful means, and Section 115(2), concerning voluntarily causing hurt. Police subsequently arrested Sadineni and produced him before the court. He was remanded in judicial custody on August 13.
Times Now report also state that Sadineni has moved a bail petition before the local court. The matter is scheduled to be heard on August 27. The allegations remain part of an ongoing investigation and have not been established as fact by a court.
Sadineni is known for films including Prema Ishq Kaadhal, Savitri and Senapathi, along with web projects such as Daya. His arrest has drawn attention because he is currently directing the upcoming Telugu film Aakasam Lo Oka Tara, which stars Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Hegde and Shruti Haasan.
The case is now under investigation, while Sadineni remains in judicial custody. As the legal process continues, the allegations against him remain allegations unless and until they are proven in court.
