According to the authorities, the main accused had been absconding and was tracked down with “extensive digital forensic analysis, technical surveillance and intelligence-led operations.”
The investigation reportedly began in April after the makers complained that footage from the unreleased film starring Vijay had been accessed and shared online without permission. The leak soon spread across social media and messaging platforms, raising serious concerns among the film`s team and the industry at large.
According to officials, the latest arrest comes after weeks of digital tracking and follow-up investigations. The newly arrested accused is said to have played a key role in making the leaked footage available to the public.
