With Vettuvam, the filmmaker is now looking at a wider theatrical footprint. Vettuvam follows a rural gangster who is a modern-day Robin Hood to his people, but who turns himself in to the police to avoid his enemies. What he finds within the prison system is far worse. Actress Sobhita Dhulipala has opened up about the preparation in Mallakhamba, saying that while stunt doubles were used during rehearsals for sequences, the cast made sure to perform every stunt themselves.
