S. S. Rajamouli is gearing up for the release of his next ambitious film, Varanasi, starring Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The action-adventure epic is slated for release on April 7, 2027 and has already created significant buzz. After launching the first looks of its leading characters, the makers have now dropped a new look of Priyanka Chopra as Mandakini on the occasion of her 44th birthday.
Priyanka Chopra’s new look from Varanasi
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli and the Varanasi team marked their leading lady’s birthday with a heartfelt social media post.. They dropped a new poster of Priyanka Chopra in a fierce avatar along with an unseen behind-the-scenes picture as they extended warm birthday wishes to their beloved on-screen Mandakini.

In the new look, Priyanka is seen exuding a fiery, enigmatic aura. She is seen dressed in a dramatic black corset-style top with sheer, full sleeves. She sports a messy hair updo with loose strands of hair framing her face. Her smoky eye makeup and emerald statement earrings steal the spotlight in the poster. The new look reminded many of her ‘Jungli Billi’ role in 2006’s Don.
Team Varanasi shared the poster and image and wrote, “TEAM Varanasi wishes their “MANDAKINI” aka priyankachopra a very Happy Birthday and many more adventures beyond the horizon” Similarly, S.S.
