Manju Warrier and Dileep recently made headlines after making a rare public appearance at the same event in Kerala, 11 years after their divorce. The former couple attended the inauguration of producer Listin Stephen’s new theatre, where their presence at the same venue caught the attention of fans and social media users. Photos and videos from the event have since gone viral.

According to reports, Manju and Dileep arrived separately for the event. Manju was seen stepping out of her car as paparazzi cheered for her. She kept her look casual, pairing jeans with a pink-and-white floral top. Dileep, meanwhile, arrived at the venue in a black-and-white shirt. Their separate arrivals made it clear that the two had not travelled together.

The former couple were later seen in the same balcony section of the theatre. However, they were not seated next to each other. Manju was seated beside actor Kunchacko Boban, while Dileep was seated elsewhere. There were also no reports of the two interacting during the event. Their appearance under the same roof, nevertheless, marked a rare public moment involving the former couple since their separation.
Manju Warrier and Dileep were once one of the most popular couples in Malayalam cinema. Their relationship began in the 1990s after they worked together on several films, including Sallapam (1996). They married on October 20, 1998, in a private ceremony at the Aluva Sri Krishna Temple. The couple welcomed their daughter, Meenakshi, in 2000. After their marriage, Manju took a break from acting, while Dileep continued his successful film career.
All about their divorce
The couple filed a joint divorce petition in July 2014 after reportedly living separately for some time. Their divorce was officially granted in January 2015, bringing an end to nearly 16 years of marriage. At the time, both largely maintained privacy about the reasons behind their separation.

Since then, Manju and Dileep have largely followed separate professional and personal paths. Manju made her comeback to films with How Old Are You? in 2014 and went on to establish herself as one of Malayalam cinema’s leading actresses. Dileep, meanwhile, continued working across Malayalam films.
Their latest appearance has therefore attracted considerable attention, not because of any reported interaction, but simply because it is unusual to see the former couple at the same public gathering years after their divorce. The viral videos have once again brought their past relationship into the spotlight, although there has been no indication of any personal reconciliation or renewed association between the two.
