A shocking update has emerged from Punjab after reports of singer and actor Gippy Grewal receiving a death threat started doing rounds. Notorious gangster Goldy Brar has reportedly issued a death threat against the renowned Punjabi singer.
Gippy Grewal receives a death threat
In an audio clip that is now going viral, the person, claiming to be Goldy Brar, can be heard threatening Gippy Grewal in Punjabi, “Hanji, main Goldy Brar bol raha hoon. Gippy, mene tujhe thode din pehle bhi message kiya tha, but ab tak koi reply nahi aaya. Mene kuch baat karni hai, mera message mat ignore karo. Kyunki message toh ignore ho sakta hai, par jab goliyan barasengi to vo ignore nahi kar paoge.”
Although this audio has been going viral on the internet, there has been no official confirmation from the authorities on the news.
Sukhbir Singh Badal blames Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann
Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, shared an audio message on his X (formerly Twitter) account in which the person who claims to be Goldy Brar, can be heard making the death threat. Sukhbir also seemingly raised the matter with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, expressing concern after Grewal`s security cover was withdrawn.
Sukhbir took to X and wrote, “Disturbed to learn that our superstar Gippy Grewal received a threat from notorious gangster Goldy Brar- right after CM BhagwantMann withdrew his security cover, just because he came to meet me at my Badal residence recently.”

The president of the Shiromani Akali Dal and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal, also claimed that Punjab is not safe for anyone, adding that “law and order has totally collapsed.”
Sukhbir went on to blame the Chief Minister for the tragic and brutal demise of the singer Sidhu Moosewala. He wrote, “We already lost one of our best singers, Sidhu Moosewala, due to Bhagwant’s disastrous decision to withdraw his security and leak it to the media.”
“If any mishap occurs, Bhagwant Mann, you will be directly responsible (sic).”
This comes at a time when Gippy Grewal’s recently released movie, Akaal: The Unconquered, has sparked controversy, over allegedly disrespecting Sikhs and hurting religious sentiments.
