Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently made a candid confession about her pregnancy, revealing that her pregnancy came as a surprise. She added that she and filmmaker-husband Raj Nidimoru were at a point where they were okay with not having children. The couple, in June, announced that they were expecting their first baby.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the 39-year-old spoke about finding out about her pregnancy while shooting for the song Thassadiya from the film Maa Inti Bangaraam. The actress said she is excited about the change that motherhood is set to bring in her life. Samantha’s comments come as the actress continues to share her pregnancy journey with fans on social media
Samantha revealed that she and Raj had made peace with not having kids before she got pregnant. “I had reached a place where I was okay. Like, both Raj and I were okay with, maybe we can’t have kids. Maybe we will. I was okay with either. I was fine, and so was he. So, this is a surprise,” she said,
The actor also revealed how she felt after learning about the pregnancy. “The first day I was shooting for (the song) Thassadiya, I found out. I had just found out, and I had to go and do the steps. I was having a little bit of sickness at that time. I guess everything just aligned. And now, I am truly excited. Everyone tells me that having a child changes your entire life. I think I am ready for that change,” she shared.
