The Peddi actor had earlier opened up about the meaning behind the names of his twins in an interview with Variety. He revealed Shivram reflects devotion and lineage. According to the actor, the name draws from Lord Shiva and Lord Rama, and symbolises strength with restraint and righteousness with compassion. Ram also added that the name carries forward his father’s birth name, Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad.
On the other hand, about his daughter’s name, Charan said, “Veera signifies bravery, and ‘An’ expands it to something limitless. The ‘Devi’ is intentional – a reminder that strength and grace can co-exist. For us, these names are not just identifiers. They are aspirations of strength, love and courage.”
Upasana on raising twins
Meanwhile, Upasana had earlier spoken about becoming a mother for the second time, describing the experience as calmer and more conscious. “The first time, everything is new – beautiful, but overwhelming. This time, I feel much more relaxed and grounded. I’ve learned to let go and not panic over small things anymore,” Upasana said.
She added that raising twins along with their elder daughter Kaara has been demanding and fulfilling, saying, “There’s an extraordinary sense of fulfilment watching all three of my children together. Ram has been incredibly hands-on, especially with Kaara. For us, making sure each child feels equally loved and secure is what truly makes the difference.”
Upasana also added that she remained active during her pregnancy. “In my line of work, there isn’t really a holiday – I’m wired that way. My work gives me purpose and happiness, and my children give me pure joy. Both deserve attention and space to grow in their own way,” the entrepreneur said.
