Famous Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, who tied the knot in a grand ceremony in 2021 to Canadian lawyer and politician Geet Grewal, also known as Guneet Grewal. However, there seems to be trouble in paradiese, as the couple has now decided to part ways after 5 years of marital bliss. Parmish recently announced his separation on social media, and also confirmed his relationship with actress and model Harman Brar, amid all the speculations.
Parmish Verma confirms divorce and new relationship
Parmish Verma confirmed his divorce from Geet Grewal after five years of marriage in a long note on social media. Reacting to the trolling and rumours around his personal life, Parmish addressed the matter, stating that it is easy to put gender-biased blame.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 5, Parmish, who was seen in the Punjabi version of Singham, wrote, “Being a man makes you a convenient psychological scapegoat; blame the gender, simplify the story, and the mob gets to feel morally superior. I understand the psychology of it, and I accept the burden without resentment. When I was drowning, nobody came to save me. I dealt with my own consequences, carried my own pain, and learned to stand again.”

He further added, “That, too, is being a man. So is having the discipline to respect my ex-wife, respect the woman in my life today, and never confuse bitterness with masculinity. What isn’t manhood is weakness disguised as virtue becoming a weasel in a mob, feeding an agenda for attention, money, and calling cowardice morality. I know what I am. I would rather be hated for standing upright than applauded for crawling with the crowd. I’m proud of the man I became.”
For the unversed, the couple tied the knot on October 19, 2021, in Canada. Later, on April 28, 2022, the couple announced their pregnancy on social media. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, later that year.
Parmish Verma on staying away from negativity
After confirming his divorce, the Punjabi singer-actor shared a message about staying away from negativity. Taking to Instagram, the singer shared glimpses from his father’s birthday celebration, expressing his admiration for him. Parmish also spoke about the importance of keeping negativity away in the post.
Along with the images, the actor who was last seen with Sonal Chauhan in Shera, wrote, “Negativity di thaan Zindagi ch Zero, Ni main kisse da ni fan, Mera Bapu mera Hero (Zero space for negativity in life. I’m not a fan of anyone; my father is my hero.”)
