Kiara Advani, who is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film, Toxic, recently shared a deeply personal and heartfelt moment involving her pregnancy. During the recent Chennai pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Kiara opened up about the support she received from her co-star Yash and director Geetu Mohandas during the shooting of the film, while she was pregnant.
Kiara Advani recalls Yash’s reaction to her pregnancy
While talking at the event, Kiara recalled, “When I got pregnant, after my family, you were the first two people I shared the news with. In that moment, you didn’t think about how will we finish the film, the logistics, none of that. You both smiled with tears in your eyes, congratulated me and said, ‘We’re going to have the time of our lives now, Kiara’.”

Kiara added that Yash and Geetu’s response deeply touched her and reflected the kind of people they truly were beyond their roles as actor and director. “I was so touched to just see someone who was so happy for me. I will never forget that, you said, come on set, be comfortable, eat whatever you want. And we’re going to make the best film. And we truly did,” she recalled.
Further expressing her gratitude, Kiara said, “You truly, truly did make me feel like I could do anything in that moment. So thank you for being the human being that you are. And thank you for being the best team.”
At the event, Huma Qureshi also spoke about Kiara shooting the film despite being six months pregnant.

Kiara Advani also spoke about their upcoming film Toxic, saying, “I hope 26th August, when we deliver this movie to you all, you feel the passion, you feel the madness, and you enjoy cinema.”
Talking about the larger vision behind the film, Kiara shared, “There was only one vision to take Indian cinema, take the best artists and the best technicians from our country and put this film on the globe.”
Apart from Yash and Kiara, Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles. The film is set to hit theatres on August 26, 2026.
Earlier, sharing BTS from the film, Kiara wrote on Instagram. “A fairy tale isn’t just what this film is. It’s also what making it was. One string of thought, talent from everywhere, each doing right by their craft, avalanching into TOXIC. ‘Peculiar Alchemy,’ as our Director calls it.”
