Yash reacts to Tabaahi being compared to a condom ad: 'Won't do it for free'

The first song from Yash’s Toxic, titled Tabaahi, was released on July 8. The song includes some intense and steamy scenes between Yash and Kiara Advani, after which the actress faced backlash. Netizens have even compared it to a condom ad. During his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, the actor gave a cheeky response to the comparison.

During the conversation, Yash was questioned about song Tabaahi’s criticism and its comparison to a condom ad. He said, “Agar condom ad karna hai, toh paise leke karunga. Aise muft mein nahi karunga (If I have to do a condom ad, I’ll do it for money. I won’t do it for free).”
Yash also spoke about the intimate scenes in Toxic and explained that the film was always positioned as a story meant for grown-ups. “Art has to ask uncomfortable questions. Jab se title daala hai, tagline daala hai, this is Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Hum pehle se bata rahe hain ki jo bacche hain, dimaag se bacche hain, woh thoda door rahein (We’re saying this beforehand: those who are children in age or children at heart should stay away),” he said.

Yash stole the spotlight at the Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups trailer launch in Bengaluru as he thanked each member of the cast and crew for their contribution to the film. The actor praised Kiara Advani as Nadia and even addressed the backlash subtly, saying, “I have seen you work so hard and you know initially we all thought when you get all these actors there could be so many issues but you were so down to earth and she surrendered to our vision. And the way she has performed and what you have to go through as an actor, unfortunately, don’t care whatever you believe in, you should do and people will appreciate and celebrate. It’s just that we are a bit ahead of time and people will know it.”
He also defended the intimate scenes and stated, “Vulgarity is wrong. I haven’t even kissed, as you may have noticed. There is a certain line, and we understand that. Toxic is for Gen Zs.”
