Meanwhile, the Hindi version of Toxic alone beat Animal, with 60,000 tickets sold in 24 hours.
About Toxic
Toxic is helmed by Geetu Mohandas. Alongside Yash, it also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The film is set to arrive in theatres on August 26.
Toxic has been making headlines for a long time over its steamy, intimate scenes and sequences that seemingly show women in a not-so-favourable light. Nevertheless, the film was cleared by the CBFC with no cuts and an A-rating.
