With audiences waiting with bated breath for Toxic, Yash has raised excitement around the action thriller with his latest comments at San Diego Comic-Con. Calling the Geetu Mohandas directorial a “mind-blowing” cinematic experience, the actor promised an emotional story packed with wild action that will leave audiences stunned.
Yash on Toxic
In an interview with JoBlo.com, Yash opened up about Toxic and said, “I know this is a movie that will blow everybody’s mind. It’s like a roller-coaster ride—it’s wild, unapologetic. But, at the same time, it’s very deep as well. It may come across as something larger than life—that’s there. That’s the texture of the film. But, deep inside, it’s a deep and emotional film. Anybody who is going to walk into theatres will get their mind blown while walking out. And they’re going to go, ‘What the hell was that?’”

“I love action. I am a fan of action movies, and whenever there’s action, the kid in me is excited. I’ll be watching the monitor as I am watching the movie. [Action choreographer] JJ Perry did a great job, and on this 26th, we’re releasing Toxic, and you’ll see what kind of action we have done. The emotion behind the action is important. I think they’ve got that right in Toxic and even in Ramayana,” he added.
Talking about Toxic, it is set for release on August 26. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film also stars Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, and Kiara Advani.

Yash also spoke about playing Ravana and recalled how challenging it was because the character is already so well known. “As a kid, we have all heard this story. It’s probably the first story I ever heard. My grandfather used to tell me these stories. You have your own imagination, and you have seen so many people depict this character in different ways. So, what do you bring to it as an actor, and what is your understanding of the character? That was challenging.”
