Yash stole the spotlight at the Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups trailer launch in Bengaluru as he thanked each member of the cast and crew for their contribution to the film. While praising the ensemble for putting their egos aside, the actor had special words for Kiara Advani, applauding her dedication and performance as Nadia.
Yash expresses gratitude at trailer launch
Yash began his speech by thanking the audience for attending the trailer launch before adding, “I believe in one thing, now it is no more Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, it is an Indian film.”
He further continued, “This is the right example to see talented people from their respective industries, they are doing really great. This movie is not Yash’s film, this is an Indian film, where all the top stars, talented people have kept their insecurities or their goals, or even sometimes they are selfish, every actor is selfish, that’s the fact. When you are working, you want to be the best, there will be so many instances when a lot of people come together, you will feel a little uncomfortable, insecure, and promotions, there will be so many things happening. But this film has happened because all these lovely, talented, successful people have kept their egos aside, kept other things aside, and they have just come with one cause, to put Indian film on a global platform.”
Did Yash take a dig at trolls?
Yash and Kiara’s steamy chemistry drew flak after the Tabaahi song was released. It looked like he gave a befitting reply to haters as he remarked, “Most of us listen to people who say bad things, what you can’t do, what is wrong. I think, I am somebody who doesn’t listen to anybody. If somebody is telling me that you can’t do this, I will only see their lack of imagination or their stupidity. Because if I can see it clearly, there is nothing in life if you are able to put in effort and time and required energy or actions towards something, there is nothing in life which you cannot achieve is what I believe.”
While Yash was thanking each and every cast member, he turned to Kiara and gushed, “The kind of role you have performed in this, you are so dedicated. I have seen you work so hard and you know initially we all thought when you get all these actors there could be so many issues but you were so down to earth and she surrendered to our vision. And the way she has performed and what you have to go through as an actor, unfortunately, don’t care whatever you believe in, you should do and people will appreciate and celebrate. It’s just that we are a bit ahead of time and people will know it. Thanks for your support.”
This comes after she thanked him and Geetu Mohandas for manifesting Nadia for her.
