Sharing the announcement on his birthday, Sudeep described the character as one rooted in history and referred to the journey as something he was honoured to be part of. His post also teased the rise of Devaraaya, leaving fans eager for more details about the historical figure he will portray. The 1.22 min introduction to his character has indeed sparked excitement among fans.
All about the film
The film is being produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, with GowrahariK composing the music. Positioned as a pan-Indian project, Devaraaya is expected to reach audiences across multiple regions and languages. The film is currently slated for a theatrical release in December 2027.
Although details about the supporting cast, storyline and other characters have not yet been revealed, the first look has offered a clear indication of the film’s ambitious visual approach.
