Bigg Boss Tamil fame Pradeep Antony has addressed the backlash surrounding his now-deleted social media post about his separation from wife Pooja Shakthi. The actor, who had shared an emotional account of his troubled marriage and his separation from their young son, admitted that posting personal details publicly was a mistake but maintained that the post reflected what he was feeling at the time.

Taking to his X handle on September 1, Pradeep wrote, “I’m fine, if anyone cares.” Reflecting on the controversy surrounding his earlier post, he added, “It was my mistake, posting something personal on social media. But I think it was just a cry of the moment, which I’m not ashamed of.”

The actor also appeared to acknowledge the criticism and judgement he has received following his revelations. “I’m fine with judgements, I’m conscious enough to take decisions for my life,” he wrote, before signing off, “Feel free to judge. Thank you. Love you.” His clarification came after his previous post sparked strong reactions online, particularly over his remarks about his marriage, his child and his decision to move away from the relationship.

In the now-deleted post, Pradeep had opened up about the emotional difficulties he had allegedly been experiencing in his marriage. He began the post about his son and talks about Pooja’s pregnancy, “I’ve joked about selling this baby with my friends a lot. So when Pooja got pregnant, I asked people to reserve a spot for an upcoming baby and pay me some amount in lacs for the baby.”
He admitted, “I made a mistake. I think I married the wrong person and it’s made me a very bad person everyday since.” He further described the relationship as one where the couple struggled to understand each other, calling them “two opposite people colliding everyday.”
Explaining his decision to separate, Pradeep wrote, “I’ve decided to move away from my marriage, because I’m really not able to breathe in that relationship. And I don’t think she loves me anymore either.” He also spoke about being separated from his son, revealing that he had not seen the child for about a month.
Pradeep said he had always wanted to build a happy family and become a good father, particularly because of his own experiences growing up. However, he felt that allowing his son to remain with his mother was better than having the child witness parents who were constantly fighting.
Pradeep and Pooja married in November 2024 and welcomed their baby boy in April 2026. The actor rose to wider recognition with Bigg Boss Tamil 7 and has appeared in films including Aruvi, Vaazhl and Dada.
