Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups took a massive opening at the box office and earned Rs 101.10 crore net in India. However, the movie appears to have been impacted by largely unfavourable views from critics and audiences alike, as it later began to decline at the box office. All eyes are now on how much the film fared on its first Monday.

According to trade tracking portal Sacnilk, the Geetu Mohandas directorial collected Rs 7.45 crore by 10 pm on Monday. It is the lowest single-day earnings so far. This takes the film’s total Indian net collection to Rs 221.55 crore, and its total India gross collection has reached Rs 264.80 crore. The Yash-starrer registered the second-best opening in Kannada cinema history with Rs 101 crore across India on its opening day. But Saturday saw a decline, with only Rs 37.65 crore. Many predicted the film would see an upward trend on the weekend, but that didn’t happen, as Toxic earned only Rs 25.15 crore on Saturday and Rs 23 crore on Sunday. Now, the film has entered its first Monday with Rs 7.45 crore.
Hindi version remained the biggest contributor on Monday with Rs 4.40 crore, followed by the Kannada version at Rs 2.00 crore. Telugu raked in Rs 0.30 crore, while Telugu contributed 0.68 crore. The film was running across 13,400 shows with 17.1% occupancy.
