“Airtel launches ‘Priority Postpaid’, a first-of-its-kind service in India powered by advanced 5G slicing technology, delivering a superior and more dependable network experience for postpaid customers,” Airtel’s post stated.
Airtel enhances the 5G Standalone network across India
With this rollout, Airtel has enhanced its 5G Standalone (SA) network with intelligent slicing capabilities that dynamically segment network capacity to ensure stable and reliable performance even during periods of high network congestion.
The 5G standalone technology enables users to experience smoother connectivity in crowded environments such as busy traffic zones, packed concerts, bustling markets, and high-footfall public spaces and in situations where network performance often slows due to heavy demand.
Whether attending an important client call while commuting, streaming live content at a large event, or booking a cab in a crowded marketplace, Airtel said Priority Postpaid is engineered to offer customers a superior and more dependable mobile experience.

With the launch, Airtel becomes the first telecom operator in India to introduce network slicing-based commercial 5G services, joining a select group of global markets, including the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia, where similar advanced 5G capabilities are already in use.
The `Priority Postpaid` service will be available across all Airtel postpaid plans, with existing customers automatically receiving the benefits without requiring any additional activation.
To access the service, users must have a 5G SA-enabled smartphone running the latest software updates.
The move is expected to strengthen Airtel’s premium postpaid offerings and further intensify competition in India’s rapidly evolving 5G market as telecom operators race to deliver differentiated next-generation connectivity experiences.
