“10 years engaged, a lifetime in love.. our favourite story, still being written. 12.8.2016. You will always be my favourite YES,” Radhika wrote in the caption.
Yash and Radhika’s story began long before their engagement. The two first met on the sets of the television show Nanda Gokula in 2007. Their professional association eventually blossomed into a close friendship, with the two later working together in several films.
While their equation grew stronger, the couple kept their relationship largely away from the spotlight for several years. They eventually made their commitment official with an engagement ceremony in Goa in 2016.
The couple tied the knot later that year and celebrated their wedding with two receptions, one for family and friends and another for their fans at Bengaluru Palace.
Over the years, Yash and Radhika have welcomed two children and have offered fans occasional glimpses into their family life. Their 10-year engagement anniversary now adds another memorable chapter to a relationship that began on television sets and grew into one of the most loved celebrity marriages in the South Indian film industry.
Radhika Backs Yash’s Toxic
The anniversary comes as Yash gears up for one of the biggest releases of his career. The actor will headline Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is scheduled to release on August 26.
Yash has previously credited Radhika for being a pillar of support throughout the demanding production. At the film’s trailer launch in Bengaluru, the actor admitted that the project pushed him beyond his comfort zone, requiring multiple looks and an extensive time commitment.
Calling himself a “difficult person to be with”, Yash thanked his wife for standing by him through the process and supporting him throughout the making of the film.
Toxic also stars Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara and Rukmini Vasanth. Following the film, Yash will also be seen as Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana, alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita.
