Actor-producer Niharika Konidela is celebrating a major milestone after her production Committee Kurrollu won two honours at the 72nd National Film Awards. The film bagged the award for Best Telugu Film, while P Ravi Kumar received the National Award for Best Make-up, making it a memorable moment for the entire team.

To mark the achievement of winning at the 72nd National Film Awards, Niharika hosted a celebration with the cast and crew in Hyderabad on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, the actor-producer admitted that the recognition has given her a sense of fulfilment she had never experienced before.
“I’ve never felt this fulfilled in 32 years of my life,” she said, recalling how she instantly connected with the film’s story when she first heard it.
Niharika revealed that director Yadu Vamsi had always believed Committee Kurrollu was worthy of a National Award, although she initially never imagined producing an award-winning film. She shared that once filming began, she added the dream of winning a National Award to her vision board, describing the honour as the result of that manifestation.

During her speech, Niharika also reflected on being part of the Konidela family, one of Telugu cinema’s most influential film dynasties. She spoke about the contributions of her father Naga Babu and uncles Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, acknowledging the legacy they have built in the industry over the decades.
She recalled that her father had received three National Awards for Rudraveena long before she was born and said she had always admired her family’s contribution to Indian cinema.
Niharika then made an emotional confession, admitting that despite spending nearly a decade in the film industry after making her acting debut with Oka Manasu in 2016, she had never truly felt she had earned her place within the celebrated Mega family through her own work.
Thanking Committee Kurrollu for changing that feeling, she said the film had finally given her the confidence to believe she deserved to be part of the family’s cinematic legacy.
Produced under her banner Pink Elephant Pictures, Committee Kurrollu has emerged as one of the biggest successes of Niharika’s career as a producer. Apart from backing films, she was last seen as an actor in the Tamil film Madraskaaran and is currently associated with the Telugu television show Aata as both a judge and producer.
With Committee Kurrollu earning national recognition, Niharika says the honour has strengthened her belief in telling meaningful stories and reaffirmed her place in the Telugu film industry.
